AdvaMedDx Welcomes Phi Vu as Vice President

WASHINGTON, D.C. – AdvaMedDx, a division of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) that focuses on the value diagnostics bring to patients’ health and health care, today announced that Phi Vu has joined the association as its vice president.

 

“We’re thrilled to have Phi join the AdvaMedDx team to help shape our critical policy efforts,” said Susan Van Meter, Executive Director of AdvaMedDx. “Phi’s exceptional background in biotechnology, public health and law will support advancing the regulatory priorities of in vitro diagnostic manufacturers and pursuing policies to advance technological innovation in the U.S. and around the world.”

 

Prior to joining AdvaMedDx, Vu served as director for health policy at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), where he led policy activities for diagnostics, personalized medicine and infectious diseases. Previously, Vu served at the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Chemical and Biological Defense Program, where he led various medical countermeasure development programs, including the DoD’s Next Generation Diagnostics Program. 

 

Vu holds a B.A in Biology from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from Georgetown University and a J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
